SW Ams monomer resin is a non-polar monomer resin obtained by cationic polymerization of methylstyrene (AMS) from C9 feedstock. It has a water-white transparent appearance and features high thermal stability and low odor.
It exhibits good compatibility with polymers such as EVA, SBCs, and SBR, effectively enhancing the cohesive strength of adhesives and improving the thermal stability of hot-melt adhesive formulations. It can also effectively control the crystallization rate of EVA systems and is suitable for applications in food packaging, bookbinding, window and door sealing, and rubber tires.
Through phenol modification, a highly polar resin can be obtained, which has the advantage of strong adhesion to difficult-to-bond substrates.

Applications: Adhesives and ink systems such as SBS and PUR.
