WellRS (SWRS)
SWRS-70PA is a non-crystallising rosin obtained by a controlled formaldehyde treatment of gum rosin. The resulting pale-yellow, transparent solid exhibits markedly suppressed crystallisation, enhanced thermal- and oxidative-stability, and broad compatibility with polymeric matrices, functioning as a high-performance tackifying resin for hot-melt adhesives, SIS/SBS-based pressure-sensitive adhesives, and blends with NR or CR elastomers.
SWRS-015RE, SWRS-009RE, SWRS-090DRE, SWRS-085HRE, SWRS-093HRE and SWRS-140PRE are specialty rosin esters produced by epoxidation followed by esterification with selected polyols.
Applications: The grades are characterised by elevated hydroxyl values and strong adhesion to metallic substrates, and are specified for acrylic adhesives, polyurethane reactive hot-melts (PUR-HMAs) and pressure-sensitive systems.
